BROWNING, ROGER LEE - age 57, of 2710 Forestdale Avenue, Knoxville, formerly of
Bristol, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2000 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a
member of Westside Baptist Temple of Knoxville and was an employee of The
Knoxville News-Sentinel with 35 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include loving wife, Jane Johnson Browning; two daughters, Mrs. Mike
(Karen) Bates and Mrs. Wayne (Jackie) Rader; two sons, Ronnie Correll of
Knoxville, TN and Fee Haynes of Bristol, TN; two brothers, Jeff Browning of
Knoxville, TN and Dan Browning; four sisters, Betty McGlothlin and Peggy Geiger
of Bristol, TN, Nancy Rose of Marion, VA and Brenda Davis of Lebanon, TN;
mother-in-law, Frankie Johnson of Knoxville, TN; three grandsons, Derrick
Correll of the home, Logan, Zack and Chase; four granddaughters. Funeral
services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2000 in The Weaver
Funeral Home Chapel, Bristol, Tennessee, with Pastor Mike Earl officiating.
Burial will follow at The Mountain View Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be
Danny Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Dr. Phillip Watson, Carolyn Charron and the staff
at Thompson Cancer Center. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday
at The Weaver Funeral Home in Bristol, or other times at 109 Crossway Road,
Bristol, Virginia. Weaver Funeral Home, Bristol, Tennessee, in charge of
arrangements.
