This deed made this 27th day of December in the year of our Lord 1880.
between Josiah D. Browning of the County of Jefferson, State of Nebraska of one
part and John C. browning and Elizabeth his wife of the County of Russell, State
of Virginia, of the other part. Witnesseth: that the said Josiah D. Browning for
and in consideration of two hundred and twenty five dollars, ($225.00) lawful
money of the United States to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, do grant, bargain and sell to the said John C. Browning and
Elizabeth his wife, all the land lying East of the Russell Old Court House and
Abandon Turnpike: the same being a part, only, of the land heired by decent from
the estate of Samuel Honaker deceased, to Martha B. Browning wife of Josiah D.
Browning, and bounded by the lands of Elizabeth Browning, wife of John C.
Browning, and Polly W. Cousins, wife of Leonidas Cousins, heirs of Samuel
Honaker dec.d. Supposed to be 14 acres more or less with all it appurtenances to
have and to hold the same to John C. Browning and Elizabeth his wife and their
heirs forever, free from the claim or claims of all the said Josiah D. Browning
and his heirs, and from the claims of all others will warrant and defend. In
witness whereof, the said Josiah D. Browning has hereunto subscribed his name
and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.

I John W. Honaker a Justice of the peace for the county aforesaid, in the State
of Virginia do hereby certify that Josiah D. Browning whose name is signed to
the within writing bearing date December 27, 1880 has acknowledged the same
