Orange County, Virginia 18 Feb 1807

 

Claude A. Swanson, Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia:

To all to whom these presents shall come-Greeting: Know ye, that in conformity with a survey made on the twenty eight day of June one thousand nine hundred and six by virtue of Land Office Treasure Warrant No. 31069

There is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto E. H. Dejarnette and J. W. Browning

A certain tract or parcel of land containing 37/100 of an acre lying and being in the town of Orange in Orange County and is bounded as follows:

Beginning at “A” a point in the center of the street opposite an iron pinion the west side of said street ? with Luther Anderson in Southern Railroad line and running thence (N.74 1/26.2.79 ? to ?)  an iron pin a corner with , ? lot in Southern RR line, thence S 15 ½ ? 1.20 ? ? ? the center of street corner with William ? lot; thence S 72 ½ W 3.10 to “L” center of street corner with Luther Anderson, thence ? to “A” the point of beginning, with its appurtenances.

To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land, with its appurtenances to the said E. H. Dejarnette and J. W. Browning and their heirs forever.

In Witness Whereof, the said Claude Swanson, Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond, on  the 18th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven and of the commonwealth the one hundred and thirty first.
